Ride, Progress, and Prepare for Your Future as an Instructor
Discover the turquoise waters and steady trade winds of Buen Hombre, a hidden gem on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. This beautiful fisherman village is the perfect spot to sharpen your kitesurfing skills in ideal conditions: flat water, consistent wind, and away from the crowd.
What does a coaching day look like?
Our day begins around 10:30 AM with a relaxed yet focused goal-setting session. Together, we’ll define what you want to work on—from boosting your first jumps to mastering transitions or improving control. We’ll also dive into essential knowledge: reading wind forecasts, choosing the right gear, and basic equipment maintenance—key skills every future instructor should master.
By 12 PM, when the wind kicks in, we’ll hit the water. I’ll ride alongside you to provide live feedback, demonstrate techniques, or capture photos and video for our debriefs. Expect personalized coaching, a focus on progression, and plenty of stoke.
After a full afternoon of riding, we’ll return to the kite center for a detailed debrief session using footage from the day. You'll see exactly what went well and where you can improve.
What else?
One of the highlights of Buen Hombre is exploring its stunning coastline. During the program, we’ll go on a few guided downwinders, safely escorted by boat. It’s not only an unforgettable experience you’ll want to repeat, but also an excellent opportunity to build confidence and improve your riding skills in real conditions.
Pre requisites :
- be able to ride upwind
- speak the language in which the course is given
- be a confident swimmer in deep water
- be in good health condition
